About This Dog

Skip was my first Epagneul Breton and the dog that introduced me to the breed. He was a kind, loving dog with a strong desire to please, an even temperament, and a natural ability in the field. At home, he was calm, relaxed, and happiest simply being with people. While Skip is no longer part of Dawson Lake Bretons, his impact on the kennel continues through Tank and the role he played in its early years.

About This Dog

Although Milli has always been owned by my good friend Matt Reynolds, she has played an important role in the story of Dawson Lake Bretons.

Matt and I have shared countless days hunting together, and I’m grateful he allowed me the opportunity to use such an exceptional female in a co-bred litter.

That breeding produced Tank, and both Matt and Milli have become a meaningful part of my journey. Like many others who have supported, encouraged, and believed in me along the way, they’ve helped shape the kennel into what it is today, and I’ll always be thankful for their contribution.

About This Dog

Sarah was a kind, affectionate female with a gentle temperament and a strong desire to be around people. She possessed exceptional natural ability in the field, instinctively pointing, retrieving, and backing with all the hallmarks of a finished hunting dog. Combined with her intelligence and willingness to please, she was a truly special dog both in the field and at home.

Although her time with Dawson Lake Bretons was far too short, Sarah remains an important part of the kennel’s history. Her final litter continues her legacy, and she will always be remembered for the impact she had on the breeding program and the people who knew her.
