Can't say enough good things about getting a puppy from Dawson Lake Bretons. Jamin was open, genuine, communicative, and straight forward throughout the entire process and we are so excited to have Bentlie. Jay made sure we had all the information we needed at pick-up and you can tell he is passionate about building a strong kennel and breeding program and very open to feedback. But, even more important to me, you could tell he sincerely cares about his dogs and making sure they go to a good home. I highly recommend Dawson Lake Bretons!

Just got our little Maggie from Dawson Lake!! She is such a cutie, and exactly what we were looking for. From start to finish, Jay was a joy to work with!! Kept us in the loop about timeline and all information. Maggie will be more of a house dog, but we can definitely see that classic French Brittany instinct coming through!!! 100% recommend!!

Picked up Wrigley and he was everything we wanted and more. Jay walked us through every step of the process, consistent communication, incredible knowledge of the dogs, and delivered a puppy that was beyond our wildest hopes. This is my first DLB dog, but definitely won’t be my last.

I was looking for a second Epagneul Breton. My 2 ½ year old EB is a great hard charging field trial dog and I wanted a second one. I contacted veteran breeders for a recommendation. They recommended Jamin Carr owner of Dawson Lake Bretons. I was cautious at first because due to my age, this would be my last puppy and I wanted to “get it right.” I contacted Jay and we had lengthy discussions. I researched his kenned and put down my deposit. Jay is young and enthusiastic. He is also knowledgeable and has apprenticed under the some of the nation’s best EB breeder/trainers. Getting a good puppy is a combination of nature and nurture. Good genes and good animal husbandry. Jay provided both. He was available and responsive during the entire process and I got a great dog. I would definitely recommend Jay for your dog training needs. He provided great updates throughout the process of training my dog. More importantly, he has been a great help answering any questions or concerns I've had since then. As a first time French Brittany owner, I've definitely appreciated his help training both my dog and myself, and would recommend him to anyone!

I sent Toffee last year for some training before my Montana trip. Jay helped he quite a bit! I again left her in good hands for a 2 week tune up before this years trip to Montana and the lights really came on for her. I reccomend Jamin/Dawson Lake Bretons to work with your Dog. I am very pleased

100% would recommend Jay for training. I've used a couple trainers and this by far has been my best experience. If it wasn't everyday it was every other day getting pictures/videos from Jay of what he was working with my dog. He also spent a lot of time training me so that I could keep the momentum going in my dogs training. I was so happy I'm sending my pup back for force fetch after the season!

We love our puppy Bela so much, and we are so happy we got her! Jay is the best! He is so knowledgeable and great to work with. Bela is the best behaved puppy and is so beautiful.

I flew out from California to buy a puppy from jamin, he made a 2 hr round trip to meet me at my hotel room to drop the puppy off. he was very helpful throughout the whole process. very informative. the puppy was up to date on vaccines and already microchiped. she seems like she has a bunch of potential and will be a great bird dog/family dog. I can't wait to take her out chukar hunting this year, she is a ball of energy! thanks again jamin

Received a trio colored make out of the skip x Sarah litter. Puppy is healthy and is picking up basic obedience quickly. Jay has been great through the whole process keeping me updated and was very open to questions. I will be going back to Jay to have the puppy started.

I recently purchased a French Brittany, Skip, from Dawson Lake Bretons'. Skip is a four year old male that Jamin had trained. I've had it out in the field hunting with my two older Brittany's and I could not be happier!!!! The dog, Skip, performs exactly like Jamin told me and is a true pleasure to work in the field. He handles easily and points, backs, and retrieves flawlessly. As a bonus he is a calm loving dog in the house.

Jay works hard for the dogs and clients. He showed up at our house a couple years ago and seems to have never left! Best wishes as you get going!!!
