Selected for drive, intelligence, and instinct.

Every female has an important role to play. The qualities she brings help guide the breeding decisions I make at Dawson Lake Bretons.

About This Dog

Tea is a high-drive female with exceptional endurance, natural instinct, and a stylish, high-headed point. She hunts at a medium range, adjusting naturally to the cover while remaining connected and easy to handle. Whether hunting PHEASANT, QUAIL, RUFFED GROUSE, WOODCOCK, or SHARPTAIL GROUSE, Tea demonstrates the desire, endurance, and bird-finding ability expected of a Dawson Lake Breton. She handles heat exceptionally well, hunts hard from the first cast to the last, and maintains the same level of intensity throughout the day.

Outside the field, Tea’s personality is impossible to miss. She is always happy to see you, eager to go wherever you go, and loves being around people and other dogs. She has an energetic, playful nature and isn’t shy about letting you know when she’s ready for the next adventure. While she has plenty of energy, she settles well in the kennel and is affectionate, social, and always excited to be part of whatever is happening.

Tea’s field ability, endurance, and natural instinct make her an important part of our breeding program. We are excited to preserve the qualities she inherited from her dam while continuing to produce Epagneul Bretons selected for drive, intelligence, and instinct.

About This Dog

Confident, playful, and full of energy, she is always looking for the next adventure. Her curiosity and willingness to explore are matched by a fearless attitude that continues to grow with age. After starting out as one of the more reserved puppies in the litter, she quickly developed into a bold, outgoing female with plenty of drive and personality.

She has been retained by Dawson Lake Bretons as a breeding prospect and will be developed through hunting and field trial competition. Her future in the breeding program will ultimately be determined by her health clearances, conformation, and performance in the field. Time will tell whether she earns that opportunity, but I’m excited to watch her develop and see what influence she may one day have on the future of Dawson Lake Bretons.

About This Dog

Sarah was a kind, affectionate female with a gentle temperament and a strong desire to be around people. She possessed exceptional natural ability in the field, instinctively pointing, retrieving, and backing with all the hallmarks of a finished hunting dog. Combined with her intelligence and willingness to please, she was a truly special dog both in the field and at home.

Although her time with Dawson Lake Bretons was far too short, Sarah remains an important part of the kennel’s history. Her final litter continues her legacy, and she will always be remembered for the impact she had on the breeding program and the people who knew her.

About This Dog

Although Milli has always been owned by my good friend Matt Reynolds, she has played an important role in the story of Dawson Lake Bretons.

Matt and I have shared countless days hunting together, and I’m grateful he allowed me the opportunity to use such an exceptional female in a co-bred litter.

That breeding produced Tank, and both Matt and Milli have become a meaningful part of my journey. Like many others who have supported, encouraged, and believed in me along the way, they’ve helped shape the kennel into what it is today, and I’ll always be thankful for their contribution.
